Did Marc Jacobs steal the idea from Adidas?

This time, Marc Jacobs was accused of plagiarism: Adidas took up arms against him for using the famous three stripes. This time it wasn't Jacobs himself who was at fault, but rather Louella Bartley and Kathy Hillier, who until recently headed Marc by Marc Jacobs.

In their collection, the sports brand didn't like sweatshirts with four stripes on the sleeves. Although the classic design of the sports brand has three stripes instead of four, the resemblance is striking. Nevertheless, it's not clear whether the version of Marc by Marc Jacobs is considered plagiarism.

The accusation that sweatshirts "mislead customers" into thinking they are Adidas sounds reasonable: the German brand has been using its three-stripe badge since 1952. Adidas is calling on the judges to stop the designer from selling the sweatshirts and to give the money already made from selling them to the German company as compensation. By the way, the Adidas brand is one of the leaders in lawsuits. They continue to use various designers and brands that add 3 or 4 stripes to their clothes or shoes.

In addition to silhouettes, color schemes, and asymmetric shapes, the Belgian designer paid special attention to plush toys, which became perhaps one of the main additional elements of the entire LV show. The same plush toys are also in Valier's collection, which he released in 2016.

And fans of the work of the Belgian designer began to dig deeper and noticed that the LV glasses of asymmetrical shapes were very similar to those that Walter presented at Van Beirendonck's fall-winter 2018 show. And do you think Louis Vuitton's design is similar to Walter's idea, or not?
