One of the first professional Fortnite competitions was the "Fortnite Pro-Am" event, which took place on June 12, 2018, with 3,000 participants. The event featured 50 celebrities paired with the top 50 streamers competing for a prize pool of US$3 million, which was donated to the winning teams' charities.
