Tarsier

Look at this cute animal! And what huge eyes he has and a funny frightening look! This is the tarsier. Previously, tarsiers were classified as an obsolete suborder of prosimians, but today they are considered one of the families of dry-nosed monkeys (Haplorhini). They live in Southeast Asia, primarily in Sumatra, Borneo, Sulawesi, the Philippines, and many adjacent islands.

Thanks to their unusual appearance, long-heeled dogs became the heroes of many films and cartoons. Even from the photo, it can be seen that the tarsier is a very small animal, whose body weight may not exceed 160 grams.  Their height is about 10-16 cm, and they easily fit in the palm of your hand.

Red-eyed tree grog

We present you the red-eyed tree frog. She looks so funny! By the way, in her red eyes lies an interesting secret. If a predator attacks a red-eyed tree frog, it sharply opens its eyes, and its bright red color confuses the attacker. After that, the shocking predator freezes, and the frog has the opportunity to escape. When night falls, tree frogs wake up, yawn and stretch.

This funny frog Lives in Central America and prefers rainforests. Able to make very long jumps. Active at night. Feeds mainly on flying insects, and small amphibians.

Loris

This animal looks very funny and cute, but in reality, one bite of a loris can cost you your life! The poison entering the body during their bite causes anaphylactic shock and death after only 30 minutes.

These unusual animals, leading a mainly nocturnal lifestyle, live in the tropical forests of Southeast Asia. They can be found in India, the southern part of China, Bangladesh, and the islands of Indonesia. Fat loris doesn't exceed domestic cats in size, and their weight ranges from 300 to 1600 grams, depending on the species.

Orangutan

An orangutan that laughs is a real comedy! Previously, these animals were distributed throughout the territory of Southeast Asia, but now they are preserved only in Borneo and Sumatra. By the way, these monkeys are considered the most intelligent animals after humans.

Over the past 75 years, the number of this species of orangutan has decreased 4 times, which is associated with environmental pollution, widespread deforestation, illegal hunting of animals, sale, and poaching.

Sloths

As their name suggests, sloths are in no hurry to do something. They live mainly at the tops of the forests that cover Central and South America and climb to the ground only to defecate. Their lives emerge at an extremely slow pace. But how funny they are!
