Aliens near Earth?! Astronauts Heard Sounds beside the Moon!
04 May 2026This is a truly historic moment! During the NASA mission Artemis II, humans have, for the first time, traveled to the far side of the Moon! And we became witnesses of this! Because it was possible to follow it directly on NASA’s social media - the astronauts were able, for the first time, to show humanity the far side of the Moon exactly as it looks from space in real time. But what is most interesting is that strange sounds were detected on the far side of the Moon - could it be that we will soon find out that aliens are closer than we think?! Everything most interesting - in our material!
Humanity Reaches The Far Side Of The Moon For The First Time!
Recently, NASA published a truly legendary photo without exaggeration! In it you can see both sides of the Moon at the same time. This is important because from Earth we always see only one and the same side of the satellite.
@NASA
Scientists explain that we cannot see this side from Earth due to the phenomenon of synchronous rotation: the Moon rotates around its axis at exactly the same speed as it orbits the Earth. Therefore, the same side is always facing us. The near side of the Moon looks darker because of large basalt plains - the so-called “lunar maria”. But the far side is completely unlike it...
Astronauts Could Not Hold Back Their Tears!
The far side of the Moon, on the other hand, is much more “harsh” in its landscape. It is covered with a huge number of craters because there are almost no large lava plains that could smooth the surface. That is why it looks lighter and more “rough”.

@NASA
And when the astronauts approached it on the 6th day of the Artemis 2 mission they could not hold back their tears... and we will definitely tell why next!
Why This Mission Is So Important For The Future
But let’s start with the most important part. Artemis II is not just a flight for records. It is part of preparing for the return of humans to the Moon, including actual landings on its surface. NASA is testing technologies that will be needed for future lunar bases and even deeper space missions, including flights to Mars.

@NASA
Scientists are checking how humans cope with long stays in deep space, how equipment works without constant contact with Earth, and how reliable modern systems are. Each such flight again raises questions that science still does not have exact answers to. Is there life beyond Earth? Why do some regions of space look unusual? What else do we still not understand about the structure of the Universe?
Amazing Distance Record from Earth!
During the Artemis II mission, another important event took place. On April 6, the crew reached their maximum distance from Earth, surpassing the record of Apollo 13, which in 1970 reached about 248,655 miles from Earth.

@NASA
This distance stood for more than 50 years. Now it has been officially broken as part of NASA’s new generation of lunar missions. But this is still not the most impressive part!
New Heroes On Board The Mission!
The Artemis II crew consists of four people: NASA astronaut Reid Wiseman, Victor Glover, Christina Koch, and Canadian Space Agency astronaut Jeremy Hansen. The team has already become global favorites, followed by millions of people almost in real time! Isn’t that impressive? These are experienced astronauts who have undergone many years of training.
@NASA
Their task is not only to perform a lunar flyby but also to test the Orion spacecraft systems in real deep space conditions: communication, life support, navigation, and the crew’s ability to endure long-duration spaceflight. By the way, the team is unique not only because they will be the first humans to go so far beyond the Moon but also because of its diverse composition. And believe me, the facts from each of their lives will definitely impress you!
Mission Commander - A Man Who Already Knows What Space Is
The commander of Artemis II is Reid Wiseman, a former U.S. Navy test pilot and experienced NASA astronaut. He became an astronaut 16 years ago and has already flown in space: in 2014 he spent six months aboard the International Space Station as a flight engineer. Interestingly, despite his love for flying, he is afraid of heights on Earth but in space he feels completely comfortable. Wiseman was born in Baltimore, he is 50 years old, and after the death of his wife in 2020, he is raising two teenage daughters alone. He says that being a single father is both the hardest and the most meaningful challenge of his life.

@NASA
Before the mission, he openly discussed the risks of the flight with his children and even showed them where important documents are kept in case of emergency, because he believes such conversations are part of honest life. He says he does not want to pretend that this mission is just “the job of his life” and tries to ensure the whole crew operates as an equal part of the flight. Wiseman hopes that one day this flight will be remembered as a small but important step toward human life on the Moon and future missions to Mars.
The First Woman To Fly So Far Into Space!
Christina Koch is a physicist and electrical engineer who became an astronaut in 2013. She has already set a record: she spent 328 days on the ISS and participated in the first all-female spacewalk. She was born in Grand Rapids, Michigan. Her dream of space began in childhood when she saw the famous photograph of Earthrise over the Moon taken during the Apollo 8 mission. That was when she realized she wanted to become an astronaut.

@NASA
Koch says that for her, the Moon is not just an object but a symbol of how humanity understands its place in the Universe. She spent a long time speaking with veterans of the Apollo program and believes that the most important thing she learned from them is a sense of teamwork and support. For the Artemis II mission, she brought handwritten notes from loved ones to feel connected to home, because in such a distant flight there is no normal communication with Earth like in orbit.
The First Non-American To Travel To The Moon!
Jeremy Hansen is an astronaut of the Canadian Space Agency, a former fighter pilot and physicist. He joined the program in 2009 and became the first Canadian to fly around the Moon. For him, this is his first spaceflight ever but he was still given an important role and even entrusted with training other NASA astronauts. He is married, has three children, and is very active in sports - sailing, rock climbing, and mountain biking.

@NASA
Hansen was inspired by the Apollo 8 mission since childhood, and space became his dream after he saw a photo of an astronaut on the Moon. He prepared his family in advance for the flight and explained how launches work and why some “alarming” sounds and signals in communication are actually normal. He became the first non-American to go to the Moon and believes that the Artemis II mission shows how much international cooperation in space has grown. And symbolically, he brought family tokens on the flight: Moon-shaped pendants for his wife and children with birthstone months, as well as Canadian symbols - maple syrup and cookies.
The Pilot Who Will Become The First Afro-American Person At The Moon
Victor Glover is a former U.S. Navy fighter pilot and NASA test pilot. He is 49 years old and has already flown in space as part of SpaceX Crew-1, spending almost six months on the ISS. He was born in California, is married, and has four children. In the Artemis II mission, he will go down in history as the first Black person who will travel to the Moon. Colleagues describe him as very charismatic and confident. His callsign IKE is often interpreted as “I Know Everything,” and this refers to his strong education - he holds several engineering and military degrees.
@NASA
Glover carefully studies old Gemini and Apollo missions because he believes the experience of previous generations of astronauts is still useful today. He says that behind dry numbers and calculations there are always real people and their stories. For the flight, he brought a Bible, family heirlooms, wedding rings, and a book of inspirational quotes from Apollo 9 astronauts.
The Fifth Passenger Who Charmed Everyone!
The mission commander introduced Rise - the official microgravity indicator. This is a soft toy in the shape of a smiling Moon wearing a cap styled like Earth. Such indicators are used at the beginning of a flight to determine when the spacecraft has entered microgravity: as soon as weightlessness begins, the toy starts floating freely inside the cabin.

@NASA
This tradition began with the first human spaceflight in 1961, when a doll was used on board. Since then, different missions have had symbolic “companions”: space has seen R2-D2 figures, Albert Einstein, and even dinosaurs. And what is especially sweet - inside Rise there is an SD card containing the names of more than 5.6 million people who symbolically join the mission together with the crew!
A Very Long Road To The Launch Of Artemis II
What is even more impressive is how long this mission was prepared for - not one year, not two but much longer! Moreover, the mission Artemis II was prepared for so long that its launch was postponed several times. Initially, NASA planned to send humans to the Moon during the 2019–2021 period but the schedule kept shifting.
@NASA
Later, 2023 was announced, then 2024, then 2025, and only in 2026 did a real launch date finally appear. The reasons for the delays were purely technical: engineers were refining the rocket systems, checking fuel lines, especially the performance of helium systems, and conducting additional tests to eliminate any risks.
Launch Of NASA’s Most Powerful Rocket
And finally, on April 1, 2026, the Space Launch System rocket launched from Launch Complex 39B in Florida. This is the most powerful rocket NASA has ever built. Inside was the spacecraft Orion spacecraft with four astronauts on board.

@NASA
An interesting moment: the engines ignited seconds before liftoff, and then the solid rocket boosters fired. They operate for only about two minutes but during this short time they provide the main thrust. After that, the boosters separate, and the rocket continues flight using its main engines.
Orbit Insertion And The First Hours Of Flight
After launch, the spacecraft reached a high Earth orbit with an apogee of about 2200 kilometers. This is much higher than the orbit of the International Space Station, so the crew was already in deep space conditions. Then the upper stage of the rocket was activated, raising the orbit to approximately 74,000 kilometers. One full orbit around Earth began to take almost an entire day.

@NASA
At the same time, small mini-satellites about the size of a box were deployed into space, performing scientific tasks and collecting data about the space environment...
Long Sleep Is Prohibited On Board!
After reaching orbit, the astronauts began checking the spacecraft systems and adapting to microgravity. They tested life support systems, communication, and even their own physical condition...

@NASA
By the way, the crew had to sleep in two short cycles instead of one long sleep. This is because the mission control center in Houston coordinates important maneuvers and requires the crew to remain ready at all times.
Jump To The Moon And Return Trajectory
On April 2, Orion spacecraft activated its special engines and began its journey toward the Moon. This maneuver consumed about 454 kilograms of fuel!
@NASA
The spacecraft entered a free-return trajectory - a special orbit that allows it to return to Earth even without additional engine burns after flying around the Moon. This is one of the safest routes into deep space. After this, the crew was given a rare opportunity to rest properly and sleep for about 8 hours straight...
Life On Board - What Is It Like?
By the way, in addition to performing important scientific tasks, the astronauts turned into real “space bloggers”! While communicating with Earth, they showed their spacecraft in detail, which, by the way, is very compact inside.

@NASA
The astronauts of the Artemis II mission really sleep in seats in a semi-upright position, strapped in with safety belts, since the Orion spacecraft does not have separate sleeping cabins due to limited space.
What About Personal Hygiene?
Many people think that everything in space is extremely uncomfortable but in the Artemis II mission engineers really made a big step forward. The Orion spacecraft has a modern toilet system installed, which is much more complex and well thought out than in older missions like the Apollo program. It is designed to work in zero gravity, where regular plumbing is simply impossible: everything works through airflow, vacuum, and sealed containers.

@NASA
Even modern space toilets are one of the most complex systems on board. They have to function in zero gravity, prevent any запахи from leaking, and at the same time be as reliable as possible, because any breakdown in this area quickly becomes a problem for the entire mission. However as it turned out not everything is so simple...
Astronauts Were Left Without A Toilet...
But already on the third day of the flight, when the crew was about 320 thousand kilometers away from Earth, a malfunction occurred. According to mission control, there was a problem with waste disposal - most likely part of the system froze. In zero gravity this is not uncommon: liquids behave differently, and ventilation lines can quickly overcool.

@NASA
Engineers quickly found a temporary solution and rotated the spacecraft so that sunlight could heat the problematic area. This worked partially: the system was not fully restored, and for some time it operated with limitations. The crew had to use an alternative mode similar to the systems from the Apollo 11 era, when astronauts used simple waste bags. Later, specialists were able to fully restore the system, and the toilet started working normally again.
Record-Breaking Approach To The Moon
And so, while solving everyday бытовые problems and collecting important data in space, on April 6 the spacecraft entered the Moon’s sphere of influence. At that moment a very important phase of the mission began! And exactly here an important record was set: the spacecraft was at a distance of 406,778 kilometers from Earth, surpassing the record of Apollo 13, which had stood for more than 50 years.
@NASA
At this point the spacecraft entered a zone where the Moon’s gravity begins to influence it more strongly than Earth’s pull... This is a crucial moment for navigation: the spacecraft literally “switches” between gravitational fields and uses them for further movement.
Tears In Orbit - The Most Touching Moment Of The Mission
The Artemis II mission was remembered not only for technology and records but also for a truly touching moment that brought tears to the entire crew. During the flyby of the Moon, the astronauts proposed naming one of the unnamed craters after Carroll Taylor Wiseman - the late wife of commander Reid Wiseman. Carroll worked as a nurse in a neonatal intensive care unit and passed away in 2020 after battling cancer. For the commander, this is a huge personal loss that he never hid. And right there in space, against the backdrop of endless silence and the greatness of the Moon, the team decided to immortalize her name...

@bbc.com
The astronauts chose a bright area on the border between the near and far sides of the Moon and proposed naming it “Carroll”. Another crater they wanted to call “Integrity” - after their spacecraft’s call sign. This moment became one of the most emotional in the entire mission and showed that even in space there is still room for human feelings.
40 Minutes Without Communication - The Moment The World Froze
When the spacecraft moved behind the far side of the Moon, something happened that had been planned in advance - communication with Earth was completely lost. This lasted about 40 minutes, and even though it was expected, the tension was felt by literally everyone...
@NASA
At that moment the spacecraft was at its closest distance to the Moon’s surface - just over 6,500 kilometers. This is one of the most dangerous and responsible phases of the flight, when the crew is completely alone, without any connection to Earth. These minutes felt incredibly long and intense for everyone...
The Waiting Was Unbearable
Everyone understood that this was a normal part of the mission but still held their breath. In mission control, in front of screens, on social media - millions of people were waiting for the signal to return.

@NASA
And then, after those long 40 minutes, communication was restored. It became clear - everything went perfectly! The astronauts successfully flew around the far side of the Moon, and the first images they transmitted literally stunned the entire world. The Moon turned out to be not at all what we are used to seeing!
Glamorous Moon!
The most unexpected thing the astronauts saw - the Moon is not gray at all as we used to think. From Earth it looks monotone but up close it reveals a completely different picture. The surface shimmers with different shades: from light beige and silver to deep dark areas. In some places you can see brown and even slightly bluish and even pink tones. All of this creates the feeling that in front of you is not a cold rock but something almost “alive”.

@NASA
The contrast between smooth areas and crater-covered zones is especially impressive. Sunlight falls at different angles and literally “paints” the landscape, making it look three-dimensional and almost unreal. Many have already called these views a “glamorous Moon”, because it looks far more spectacular than in familiar images!
Strange Sounds From The Far Side Of The Moon...
But it wasn’t without mysteries. While on the far side of the Moon, where there is no communication with Earth and complete silence reigns, the astronauts heard strange sounds inside the spacecraft. This caused real shock - because in space sound does not travel the same way as on Earth.

@NASA
Similar cases have happened before. During the Apollo 10 and Apollo 11 missions, astronauts also reported unusual sounds in their headsets that resembled whistling or strange interference...
What Was It?!
However, there is a scientific explanation. Later it turned out that this is related to radio interference and interaction between equipment signals. When the spacecraft is behind the Moon, communication and navigation systems behave differently, and this can create such effects.
@NASA
Nevertheless, in the moment it sounds truly creepy. Imagine: you are farther than any human in history, surrounded by absolute darkness and silence, and suddenly you hear strange sounds with no visible source…
Return To Earth
After completing the flyby, the spacecraft automatically changed its trajectory and set course for Earth. This maneuver made it possible to avoid additional fuel consumption, because everything had been заранее calculated down to the smallest details. This is one of those rare cases when physics itself works in favor of the mission, helping the spacecraft move as efficiently as possible.

@NASA
During such a close flyby of the Moon, the spacecraft follows the so-called free-return trajectory. This means that the spacecraft can safely return to Earth even in case of some engine problems, because the trajectory is initially designed in such a way as to “bring” it back using gravity. In essence, this is a built-in safety system for the entire mission, which has been used since the time of the first lunar flights!
This Is A Success!
The return was scheduled for April 10 - and that is exactly what happened! The capsule successfully splashed down in the Pacific Ocean off the coast of California, near San Diego.

@NASA
At the moment of landing, the spacecraft’s speed reached tens of thousands of kilometers per hour, and the temperature on the surface of the capsule due to friction with the atmosphere rose to several thousand degrees. That is why thermal protection is considered one of the most important technologies of the entire mission.
What Happens Next?
And then begins an equally important stage that usually remains behind the scenes. Scientists will carefully study all the collected data: from the operation of the spacecraft systems to human behavior in deep space conditions. Every detail matters, because it is on this data that the future of the entire program is built.

@NASA
Specialists will continue preparing the next mission - Artemis III, which will become another step toward the main goal. According to updated plans, it is this mission that should bring humanity closer to a new landing on the Moon.
Grand Ambitions!
Overall, the strategy looks fantastic: by the end of this decade the plan is not just to send people to the Moon again but to create a permanent presence there.
@NASA
We are talking about future bases, long-term missions, and even possible preparation for flights to Mars. This is no longer a one-time expedition but the beginning of a new space era that the whole world is now watching.
Conspiracy Theories And Accusations
But as often happens, such high-profile missions do not go without controversy. Online, people began actively discussing video recordings from aboard the spacecraft, where users noticed strange visual anomalies. This instantly sparked a wave of theories claiming that the mission was staged and filmed on a “green screen”.

@NASA
These discussions spread especially widely on social media, where any unusual phenomenon quickly turns into “proof” of a conspiracy. Some users even started claiming that space missions have been faked for decades, continuing old theories about the “fake” Moon landings.
Why Conspiracy Theorists Are Convinced It’s Fake?
The reason was a viral video showing astronauts giving an interview directly aboard the spacecraft, while a soft toy named Rise floats nearby in zero gravity - it is used as an indicator of weightlessness. Viewers noticed strange visual effects: fragments of text like “TAN” or “OW” briefly appeared over the toy.
@cnn.com
It looked unusual and, to an unprepared viewer, could indeed seem suspicious. These very frames became “evidence” for conspiracy supporters, who began claiming it was the result of a green screen or editing.
What Actually Happened?
In reality, this story has a completely logical and technical explanation. The video that caused so much discussion was not recorded directly but filmed on a smartphone camera from a TV screen during a live broadcast.

@NASA
In such broadcasts, graphic elements are always used - captions, names, logos, and other overlays that appear on top of the image in real time. During the interview, these elements were also present on the screen...
Everything Can Be Explained Scientifically!
The problem is that a TV and a smartphone camera work at different refresh rates. When you film a screen, these frequencies may not match, and at some point the frames overlap.

@NASA
As a result, an effect appears where parts of the text can briefly “freeze” on the image or appear where they shouldn’t be. This is exactly what happened in this case! And it is better to appreciate the scientists and astronauts who have brought technological progress closer to us than to spread rumors about conspiracy theories.
The Salary Is Not Cosmic - And That’s Shocking
By the way, in reality the work of astronauts is very dangerous, although few people think about it. Moreover, despite risking their lives, they do not receive huge salaries as many might assume.

@NASA
As reported by The Sun, the average annual salary of an astronaut is about 152 thousand dollars, and the most surprising thing is that it does not change even when they are in space. There are no bonuses for risk, long-distance flights, or historic missions at all. Everything is fixed, just like for regular government employees.
You Can Earn More Even In A Supermarket!
And here comes the most unexpected part. Astronaut income is roughly equal to that of middle management or highly qualified specialists. At the same time, airline pilots can earn up to 500 thousand dollars a year, and top managers, lawyers, and doctors - several times more.
@NASA
A manager of a large supermarket can earn, for example, 400 thousand dollars a year! It turns out a paradox: people who fly into space sometimes earn less than representatives of “ordinary” professions on Earth.
So Why Does Everyone Still Dream Of Space?
Despite this, the astronaut profession remains one of the most desired in the world. The selection is incredibly strict - out of thousands of candidates, only about ten are chosen. And the reason here is clearly not money.

@polytechnique-insights.com
The opportunity to see Earth from space, fly around the Moon, and become part of history - this is something that cannot be bought for any amount of money. That is why people continue to dream about space… even knowing the truth about the salaries.
Astronauts Don’t Always Survive...
NASA has long tried to conquer the Moon, however there have been many failed and even fatal missions, unfortunately. On January 27, 1967, one of the most terrible disasters in the history of space occurred. During routine ground tests on the Apollo 1 spacecraft, a fire suddenly broke out. Everything happened in a matter of seconds…

@NASA
Inside were three astronauts: Roger Chaffee, Virgil Grissom, and Edward White Jr. Due to the design of the cabin and the pure oxygen inside, the fire spread instantly, and the crew simply had no chance to escape. This tragedy shocked the entire world and became a turning point for NASA...
Was NASA On The Verge Of Collapse?
The program was urgently stopped, and all systems began to be reconsidered literally from scratch. Engineers changed materials, improved safety systems, and completely rebuilt the approach to human spaceflight. Few people know but the Apollo 1 mission itself was supposed to be the first step toward landing on the Moon.

@NASA
The astronauts planned to conduct a series of tests in Earth orbit to check the new Apollo spacecraft in real conditions. But instead, the mission forever entered history as a tragedy that saved future lives…
Another Failure - The Story Of Apollo 13
The Apollo 13 mission is still called NASA’s “successful failure”… and that is truly the case. The crew - James Lovell, John Swigert, and Fred Haise - was supposed to land on the Moon and explore the area near the Fra Mauro crater. The launch went successfully, and at first nothing seemed to indicate trouble…
@NASA
But on the third day of the flight, an explosion occurred! One of the oxygen tanks failed due to a short circuit. At that moment, the spacecraft began to lose power, systems were shutting down one by one, and the mission itself was on the edge of disaster…
What The Crew Went Through...
The phrase “Houston, we have a problem” became the symbol of that moment. Mission Control immediately canceled the Moon landing and began a desperate operation to save the crew. The astronauts had to survive in extreme conditions: cold, lack of water, and minimal electricity.

@NASA
They used the lunar module as a “lifeboat” and literally came up with solutions on the go together with engineers on Earth. And a real miracle happened - despite all the problems, the crew was brought back home alive. This mission became one of the most outstanding rescue operations in human history.
Fear And New Decisions
However, even the happy ending could not hide the main thing: the Apollo program turned out to be much more dangerous than it seemed. After the Apollo 13 accident, NASA seriously began talking about the risks. By that time, the main goal - landing a human on the Moon - had already been achieved, and continuing missions became less justified from a safety perspective.
@NASA
As a result, two future missions - Apollo 18 and Apollo 19 - were canceled. Funding was reduced, and interest in the lunar program gradually began to fade… But the story did not end there... Decades later, new missions such as Artemis II show that humanity is once again ready to return to the Moon. And most importantly - now taking into account all the mistakes of the past.
There Is So Much Unknown And Frightening In Space...
By the way, we still cannot even imagine how many secrets space holds! So far, humanity has only managed to get closer to Earth’s satellite, which is already a huge achievement but how much is still hidden beyond! Is there life on other planets?

@NASA
When does humanity face extinction? And why don’t aliens make contact? These questions have been troubling people all over the world for decades… and perhaps the most important answers are still ahead of us. Space is much more complex and mysterious than it seems at first glance.
The Universe Is Expanding Faster Than We Thought
Scientists are confident that everything began after the Big Bang about 13.8 billion years ago. Since then, the Universe has not just been expanding - this process is accelerating. The most surprising thing is that the cause of this acceleration is still not fully understood. It is believed that a major role is played by so-called dark energy, which makes up about 68% of the entire Universe.

@NASA
We cannot see it and cannot study it directly… but it is exactly what is literally “pushing” galaxies farther and farther away from each other. This creates a paradox: most of the Universe consists of something we do not even understand. And this cannot help but feel unsettling...
Is There Water Even In Space?
It turns out that water is not that rare in the Universe. Scientists find it in the most unexpected places: in gas clouds, on comets, and even on other planets and moons. For example, Europa - a moon of Jupiter - may hide a whole ocean of liquid water under a thick layer of ice. And that is already a serious hint at the possibility of life…

@Justice Blaine Wainwright
Moreover, giant clouds of water vapor have been discovered in space, with sizes thousands of times larger than all the oceans on Earth. It sounds like science fiction but these are real observational data.
The Dark Forest Theory - Why Is Everyone Silent?
One of the most frightening questions is: if the Universe is so huge, why have we still not met anyone? This question is known as the Fermi paradox. And one of the most chilling hypotheses is called the “dark forest theory”. According to it, the Universe is like a dark forest where every civilization hides and is afraid to make a sound.
@NASA
Why? Because any other form of life could be a threat. In such a scenario, intelligent beings avoid contact on purpose so as not to reveal their location… And then a disturbing thought arises: should humanity even try to “announce itself”?
Galaxies Are Constantly Colliding
It may seem that space is calm and empty but in reality massive events are constantly happening there. Galaxies collide, merge, and change their shape. For example, our Milky Way galaxy is already moving toward the Andromeda galaxy. According to scientists’ calculations, they will collide in several billion years.

@NASA
This will not be an “explosion” in the usual sense but the structure of both galaxies will completely change. The good news is that Earth will most likely not be directly affected. But the overall picture of the cosmos around us will become completely different…
No Safe Planet Has Been Found Except Earth…
But maybe one day scientists will find a planet suitable for human life besides Earth… although for now this question remains open and there is no answer. Scientists have still not found any planet that is truly suitable for human life. On the contrary, the more we learn about space, the more harsh and hostile it seems. One of the most amazing examples is the exoplanet HD 189733b, located in the constellation Vulpecula about 64 light-years from Earth.

@NASA
In size it is slightly larger than Jupiter but its appearance misleadingly resembles Earth because of its bright blue color. However, this “beauty” has nothing to do with oceans. The blue color is caused by atmospheric properties and light scattering, while the conditions there are absolutely hellish. The surface temperature reaches about 925 degrees Celsius - enough to melt even some types of rock.
A Planet Where It Rains Glass
And the most unusual part comes next… When silicate particles rise into the atmosphere, they turn into molten glass. Then this glass literally falls back to the surface as glass rain. But that is not all. Wind speeds on the planet can reach about 8700 kilometers per hour.

@NASA
These are so powerful that they spread glowing glass particles across the entire planet, creating constant deadly storms. In short, it is a world where even the weather itself is deadly…
There Are Worlds Made Of Precious Stones In Space
But glass rain is far from the only surprising thing. Scientists have also discovered planets that could literally be made of precious stones. One of these objects is believed to be the planet 55 Cancri e, located about 40 light-years from Earth in the constellation Serpens. It belongs to the class of so-called super-Earths and differs greatly in composition from the planets we are used to.

@zaynthelegend/reddit.com
According to research, its surface may consist of graphite and silicates, and deeper below, under pressure and temperature, carbon can turn into diamond. Scientists suggest that up to a third of this planet’s mass may consist of diamond structures. This means that theoretically it could be literally a “diamond world”… although reaching it or using these resources is something we cannot do even in theory yet. But in the future everything may be possible...
Cosmic “Morse Code” - The Signal That Confused Scientists
By the way, mysterious planets are just the beginning. There are things far more mysterious! Imagine: from the depths of space, a strange signal arrives every 44 minutes… It lasts only about two minutes but its power is so great that it can be detected even from a distance of about 15 thousand light-years from Earth. At first, astronomers did not even understand what they were observing.
@econews.com
The signal did not resemble any known type of cosmic radiation. It seemed to repeat in a clear rhythm, which is why it was already nicknamed “cosmic Morse code”… And the most intriguing part - this is not random. The object sends pulses regularly, as if it is working according to a predetermined program.
What Could It Be? The Boldest Theories
Scientists already have several hypotheses but none of them gives a complete answer yet. The most popular version is that it is the core of a dead star with a magnetic field trillions of times stronger than Earth’s. Such objects are capable of producing incredibly powerful bursts of energy.. There is also another version: it could be a binary system where one strongly magnetized star interacts with its companion.
@nasa
During this interaction, these strange pulses are created. But there is a problem… none of these theories fully explains why the signal is so regular and why it lasts exactly two minutes. And it is possible that this is actually proof that we are far from alone in this universe and that someone is trying to contact us...
Humanity Could Disappear - And This Is Real...
No matter how you look at it, space is not only beautiful but also dangerous. There are many scenarios in which humanity could disappear. These could be asteroids, supernova explosions, gamma-ray bursts, or even changes in the Universe itself. Some scientists also believe that the main threat may come not from space but from ourselves - technology, wars, or environmental disasters.

@nasa
And yet, despite all the risks, humanity continues to look at the sky… because that is where the answers to the most important questions are. Moreover, in order to protect humanity, astronauts study space so that it becomes more understandable to us and, if possible, safer.
