Sometimes dogs are more loyal than many people! We have selected touching stories about the fidelity of dogs, which once again prove that there are no better friends than these animals.

Roselle and Salty

On September 11, 2001, when there was a horrific terrorist attack in New York, two dogs saved the lives of their blind owners and others.

On September 11, 2001, a blind computer technician named Omar Rivera was working with his dog Salty on the 71st floor of the World Trade Center. When the plane hit the tower, the blind man, realizing he wouldn't have time to escape, decided to give his Labrador Retriever a chance to escape and unfastened the leash around the dog's neck. There was noise and terrible heat all around, and the stairs were crowded with people. Omar freed Salty and ordered her to leave. The rushing crowd pulled the dog along, but after a few minutes, the blind man felt Salty poke at his feet: she returned to the owner. A faithful animal and one of the employees helped Omar climb 70 flights of stairs, which took almost an hour. Shortly after they left the tower, the building collapsed, and, according to the man, he owes his life to a faithful dog.

Roselle is another heroine of that terrible day. The dog was sleeping under his owner's desk on the 78th floor of Tower 1 of the World Trade Center when the attack began. She was awakened by the plane crashing about fifteen floors above them. Roselle calmly helped Hingson up the stairwell despite the smoke, commotion, and noise surrounding her. The dog led her owner and 30 others down the 1,463 steps from the tower.

Guide dogs Salty and Roselle received the UK's highest military award for animals, the Deakin Medal.

Lady

Golden Retriever, nicknamed Lady, was a true friend of 81-year-old American Parley Nichols for six years. Even though the owner developed dementia, the dog never left the man for a day. Soon a mysterious story happened - in April 2010, Parley went missing. The police searched for him for a week until they found his body in a field with his faithful dog Lady by his side.

It turned out that Nichols died of heart failure, but the Lady did not leave him, eating only water from a nearby stream. The faithful dog did not want to leave the owner, but his family eventually took Lady from the scene of the tragedy and left her to live with them.

Hawkeye

This heartbreaking photo that went around the world was taken by the cousin of the deceased soldier John Tumilson. As you can see, dogs can also experience grief and cry for the owner, who is no longer in this world. In 2011, Hockey served in the US Marine Corps with his owner, John Tumilson, and they shared a strong friendship. Once a soldier didn't return from a combat mission. The helicopter on which the military was flying was shot down, and Hoki's owner died. The animal took this loss very hard. According to the relatives of the deceased, the dog didn't want to believe that his owner was no more.
